My real estate career started in 2011 when my wife and I bought our first house as a live-in flip. That experience led to a few more residential wholesale deals and land flipping. During that time, I became a licensed real estate agent in Texas and focused on selling rural acreage and timber land. In 2018 I started focusing on residential real estate again and my land experience led me to be appointed to the City of Fort Worth Planning Commission where I served one term. That year I also started flipping houses again and used my first hard money loan supplied by Longhorn. Since then, I have flipped 5-7 homes per year consistently and, as an agent, built a small team of other agents through the brokerage. We work primarily with and for residential investors. In late 2021, a business partner and I began the process of opening a homebuilding company in DFW and have started building spec homes in the Fort Worth area as well as developing a larger tract into several homesites.
Recently, my family and a few in my extended family decided to relocate to Arkansas. As people who love the outdoors it made perfect sense. From a real estate perspective, it also made sense but something I had learned over a few years of wading into the markets in Little Rock and NWA is that I was not going to be able to find the same type of lending that I was able to get with Longhorn. There is a huge void in the lending market that I believed Longhorn could help fill. I approached Longhorn about offering lending in Arkansas, and through that conversation, was able to take the opportunity to represent Longhorn for other investors in the state. I am thrilled to be a part of launching Longhorn’s lending products in Arkansas and I look forward to seeing how we can serve investors here.
